I had an interest in art from an early age and explored various types of media with a primary focus on wildlife studies. Between the ages of 16 and 19 I produced a series of black and white ‘big cat’ pencil drawings. I then found other interests, namely my degree and a passion for sport, the paints and pencils were sidelined for sometime.  On graduating I found that I had a lot more time on my hands with which I chose to focus on cycling and rediscovering art! The wildlife theme prevailed for a short time with some larger pastel studies and an assortment or charcoal sketches.

As cycling was such a passion for me I chose to attempt to express on paper some of the familiar traits of the sport with a focus on the rider rather than the terrain. I am discovering an enormous field of exploration with regard to facial expression, stance, character and an exciting range of colour.

I have enjoyed creating larger than life images for spin studios and commercial use
